WTG Package Manager

Our client is looking for a WTG Package Manager to join their team and support the development of the process, procedures, and tools to be used for package delivery. Key Responsibilities Responsible for operating the processes and procedures for the WTG package (particularly risk and knowledge management) adapted for the project specific requirements and constraints. Deliver “end user” support to the package procurement lead stakeholder engagement for one team delivery (Technical Project Manager, Foundations, Survey, T&I, Operations) and multifunction integrator (particularly procurement and quality) Maintain company knowledge of WTG OEMs, technology and issues Responsible for facilitating internal and external resources for package delivery Support offshore wind verification processes Provide During Concept and Bidding Stages: accountable for overall package delivery and development of an execution plan Responsible (with the support of project controls) for definition and optimisation of the LCoE, delivery schedule projections and delivery decisions During Development coordination of the team to prepare on the required documents (technical, variations, certificates, etc), from package delivery through to operational handover performance manage the Supplier to deliver the package on time, within the target budget and with the required quality. Resolve the interfaces of the package with other packages and areas of the project. Requirements Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) Proficient English and Japanese language as you will be required to work with local, regional and global partners Significant project management experience, with a similar package or project Management and leadership experience and skills – equipped to empower, engage and drive high performance diverse teams Deep knowledge and skills for risk, change, contracts, budget and programme management Awareness of quality processes Technical awareness of offshore wind turbines and understanding the commercial impact of technical decisions Ability to lead complex, ambiguous or limited data

Our client is looking for a Project Procurement Manager to be a part of the wider Low Carbon Energy Procurement team focused on delivering our client’s ambitions of decarbonizing and diversifying the business. Underpinning this growth in significantinvestment, and procurement at the forefront of managing spend with suppliers, building relationships with the market, delivering competitive outcomes with the business, and creating and delivering the procurement strategy. This role will work with the Japan Offshore Wind Team and business partners to create and assess technical scope/commercial packages for competitive tender events. Also, influence the business to ensure procurement change supporting innovation and cost savings. Key Responsibilities Leverage established relationships with key supply chain players. Develop contracting strategies and processes for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), assess vendor proposals, and secure contracts which are best value possible. Address scope specifi cations to find and eliminate unnecessary costs. Negotiate key supply contracts and maintain relationships and partnerships with key suppliers at the most senior level. Source new potential suppliers to encourage market tensions and competitiveness in key project areas. Ensure that all contracts and purchase orders follow previously defined business processes. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly the technical and development teams, ensuring due process is followed. Creating contracts which are fully compliant to support the business, mitigate commercial risks and drive supplier performance. Requirements A degree educated or above, or professional qualification, in a relevant discipline is required. Experience is what matters most. Extensive experience in the energy sector, specifically with offshore wind and working in large international tenders. The successful candidate will have a track record in managing services contracts and delivering substantial savings. Japanese Language Proficiency is a must Understanding of contract management fundamentals, best practices, and industry trends. In-depth knowledge of contract cost drivers, with the ability to illustrate transparency and value. Understanding of contract law (preferably FIDIC and/or LOGIC contract styles). Experience in sourcing and contracting of Wind components: Wind Turbine Generators (WTG’s), Foundations, Transmission, and/or Transportation is highly valued.
