Our client is seeking a HSE Assistant to be responsible for coordinating and implementing safety policies and procedures within the company. The successful candidate will oversee daily activities related to health, safety, and environment to minimize risks and incidents. Additionally, they ensure effective communication between project teams and HSE staff to ensure a smooth implementation of policies. A key part of this role will be to help with incident reporting, analysis & communication.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • HSE Management System Development: Developing and implementing HSE requirements aligned with current standards and regulations.
  • Training and Awareness: Organizing training sessions to familiarize staff with HSE rules and practices.
  • Risk Management & Assessment: Identifying, evaluating, and managing safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Regular Inspections: Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Incident Management: Handling HSE incidents, investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on incidents, audits, and corrective measures.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinating between project teams and HSE services to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proposing initiatives to enhance HSE performance and reduce risks.
 
 
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of UK HSE regulations.
  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and awareness skills.
  • Team player and ability to coordinate HSE activities
  • Excellent experience on HSE software/tools
  • Experience in the Energy industry
  • Knowledge and experience of CDM 2015 an advantage
  • NEBOSH/Degree
  • IOSH accreditation
