The HSE advisor promotes and provides professional expert knowledge and guidance to managers, supervisors, employees and contractors on safe work practices, safety standards, and legal regulations. And supports identification and elimination of potential hazards and ensures control measures are in place. Maintain HSE Expert Knowledge on Best Practice and Legal Requirements Secure HSE conformity using agreed processes and legal registers. Effective liaison with contractors at management and site levels to establish and improve safety, health and environmental culture. Participate and contribute to all relevant site HSE meetings. The BESS Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty repairs along with commissioning activities on energy storage units at various BESS sites. This role is to report to the OM Manager. Responsibilities Maintain Energy Storage Systems to a high standard by carrying out regular inspection and maintenance, annual capacity tests, trouble shooting and reactive maintenance works Perform system software and firmware upgrades Monitor operation performance monitoring and data assessment Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers Troubleshoot equipment located at BESS sites Manage spare parts Responsible for safety work complying with local safety regulations and safety standards Conduct risk assessment and implement safety measures Keep up to date with any administrative duties such as timesheets, daily vehicle checks and providing daily job logs describing issues and actions taken during service trips Assist the in-house system engineering group in product development and/or project work Provide suggestions based on field experience, to improve the products Essential Requirements Qualification in an electrical/ electro-mechanical discipline Previous electrical or multi skilled maintenance experience Basic IT skills (Word Processing, Outlook, Excel, IP and software for troubleshooting) Qualification of working on Site safely This role involves travelling to different sites. As Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) you will lead on all HSE aspects of our clients operations, supporting project teams as they work with consultants, contractors, customers and other electricity network owners.  This role will provide expert advice to   the management team in compliance with statutory HSE requirements and work with project development and project delivery teams to enable safe and sustainable design and construction of their network. The Head of HSE will be the authority for HSE matters and will ensure we apply the highest standards across the business, including their offices and external sites. This role has a key co-ordination component with all departments from project concept through to safe, compliant delivery and operation.  The Head of HSE is a senior manager who will report to the Director of Engineering and Customer Connections. What You Will Do: Responsible to drive, promote and improve the HSE culture and performance whilst working collaboratively with the wider HSE team. Ensure our client is compliant with all relevant HSE legislation including the 1974 Safety at Work Act. Support the project teams with any HSE matters; engagement from connection offer to energisation and operation, being the key department contact for any HSE matters Review and improve (or where necessary create)  internal processes such as risk assessment preparation or Construction Design & Management (CDM) compliance and monitor ongoing engagement and reporting,  including execution of an audit function where needed. Review and advise on risk assessments for the wider team and delivery partners. Fulfill the role of CDM Champion, ensuring it is being applied through the different project phases effectively. Take ownership of all HSE investigations, corrective actions and preventative measures for implementation. Administer the incident reporting system and manage a HSE action database, ensuring all actions are appropriate and completed in a timely manner. Provide support to contractors to promote a safety first and environment compliant culture. Create a HSE training plan for staff, provide or organise training for staff. Support the Director of Engineering and Customer Connections to drive improvement in an expanding team,  and promote business objectives to the wider team. On behalf of our client, we looking for an experienced Head of HSE to join their team in Bristol, UK. As the Head of HSE, you will manage HSE across the development, execution, construction, and operations of the green hydrogen projects. You’ll be responsible for the HSE discipline, including developing and implementing procedures, tools, organisation, and workflows to ensure the highest possible level of health safety and environmental control.You’ll be working closely across the whole organisation to secure successful project delivery and safe operations. Furthermore, you’ll be leading and working closely with the authorities in relation to the safety and environmental permitting process. Responsibilities Lead the authority permitting process related to environment and safety for the business.
