With a considerate approach, Henri feels the experience the candidate is left with after working with LSP is most valued.

 Working within the Engineering Division, his role involves delivery across areas such as Geoscience (technical/physical), Yield/Wind Analysis, Grid/OSS, SCADA, Mechanical, Cables, Civil’s, Electrical/Transmission, Foundations/Structures, O&M, as well as Senior Management and ‘Head of’ level opportunities.

Henri is involved in all areas renewables including Offshore/Onshore Wind, Solar, and Hydrogen. Balancing his previous experience in recruitment, and his journey with LSP Renewables so far, Henri shares our goal of growing the renewable energy sector and shaping a net zero future.

Grid Manager

Our client are looking for an experienced Grid Manager, who will play a key role in shaping the success of their renewable energy projects. You’ll provide expert guidance on grid connection requirements across a range of technologies, ensuring compliance with both distribution and transmission regulations. The Role Contributing to the businesses long-term electricity connection strategies Developing and maintaining grid connection plans for renewable energy projects and ancillary technologies (including contestable works) throughout project lifecycle. Managing grid applications and working closely with system operators Ensuring all grid connection costs and programme risks are clearly understood and captured in modelling and assumption books Overseeing compliance and grid code requirements, including management of technical studies (including scoping and management of outsourcing) Handling contracts, costs, and stakeholder coordination associated with grid connections Taking a lead role in grid connection policy on behalf of our client including developing responses to industry consultations; representing our client in industry forums and shaping grid policy Personal Profile We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Engineer with a strong technical background, ideally in the renewables industry. You’ll have a solid understanding of renewable generation systems and key components such as controllers, transformers, cables, and switchgear, along with expertise in High Voltage engineering. Key Skills & Experience Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Hands-on experience with grid connections for renewable projects Understanding of electrical system design processes Basic knowledge of preliminary electrical designs (e.g., single line diagrams, schematics, and general arrangement drawings) Awareness of Health & Safety regulations for electrical systems Our client are flexible with locations, this is a remote role based out of either the UK or Ireland. Grid Engineer

As an experienced Grid Engineer you will be responsible for providing support and expertise on all matters relating to a range of renewable energy projects and technology types. This includes maintaining competency and knowledge of both distribution and transmission connection requirements. Role & Responsibilities Manage the grid connections process for multiple projects from concept through to delivery Review Programme submissions for both internal and external stakeholder ensuring they capture all grid connection milestones and validate the viability  Ensure all grid Connection costs are clearly understood and captured in modelling and assumption books; this would include all Capital and revenue cost. Manage the liabilities and securities for multiple projects, ensuring the contractual position is clear and security submissions are carried out in accordance with the CUSC Prepare and Communicate contract documentation, scope(s) of work, technical requirements, design requirements and specifications Prepare and submit G99 and/or transmission applications ensuring they are deemed technically competent and  clock start has been achieved Participate in contractual negotiations where appropriate Attend industry forums, seminars and meetings as required to ensure an up to date understanding of the grid system status and issues Discuss and resolve any technical, legal or commercial queries found within connection offer documentation Ensure that any accidents, incidents and near misses are dealt with and reported in accordance with the internal Health and Safety policies and procedures Prepare documentation for variations involving changes to scope, cost or schedule Ensure all grid connection risks are understood, communicated and captured in the risk registers Review technical drawing and designs in accordance with project milestones for the grid connection Update the weekly reports and project management tools for the allocated projects Personal Profile As a suitably qualified and experienced Engineer ideally with a technical background in the Renewables industry, you will have a good working knowledge of renewable generation and associated equipment such as controllers, transformers, cables and switchgear and a technical understanding of High Voltage engineering. In additional to this you will be able to demonstrate: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar. Competency and experience in the grid connection of renewable energy projects. Scope of Works: - Collaborate with Electrical Systems Package site representatives and Client Commissioning Engineers to drive commissioning activities forward. - Act as Client witness and sign off for Stage 1 and Stage 2 commissioning for 155/66kV substations. - Provide technical support to Project Senior Authorised Persons, M&E Engineers, and the Client Commissioning Manager. - Initially based at the fabrication facility, transitioning to a Jack Up Vessel post-installation of the EOS. - Conduct initial investigations and reporting of incidents. Deliverables: - Maintain accurate weekly reporting and record-keeping on progress and issues to the Client Commissioning Manager. - Liaise with Engineering and Quality Departments to resolve outstanding issues. - Interface with Export Cable and Offshore Substation Commissioning activities. - Ensure accurate ‘As Built’ drawings and commissioning records are maintained by subcontractors.

BESS Engineer - Senior

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a ‘Senior BESS Engineer’ to join the Storage Engineering Team, you will apply your battery engineering expertise to support development and implementation of large-scale battery storage projects.   Key Responsibilities Delivering battery energy storage systems (BESS) engineering expertise across all project phases: feasibility, development, design, construction including commissioning, and operation Leading the system engineering and integration of BESS components into holistic system, capable to provide all technical functions, commercial services and ensure high performance Specifying, selecting BESS subsystems as well as reviewing single line drawings, communication wiring diagrams, and BESS layouts Evaluating BESS supplier equipment proposals and validating full engineering design solutions Ensuring compliance with technical specifications and owner’s interfaces, connection requirements and grid codes, cybersecurity, and performance requirements Defining and providing technical parameters to facilitate investment case modelling in line with battery storage industry standards Supporting functional, communication, and compliance testing of BESS assets and coordinating involved stakeholders Developing and maintaining technical documentation, manuals, and operational guidelines Maintaining engaged contact with BESS suppliers to monitor BESS products and market trends. Requirements Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, or similar) 5+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in utility-scale BESS development and operations Expertise in lithium-ion batteries and enclosures, power conversion, EMS, SCADA, and integrated systems Experience in procurement, technical offer evaluations, and supplier engagement Proficiency in performance modelling, efficiency calculations, and lifecycle assessments Knowledge of battery storage applications in European energy markets and ancillary services preferred Experience in hybrid renewable and battery storage projects would be an advantage Strong skills in techno-economic analysis, electrical design review, and stakeholder communication Fluency in English, with a solution-driven and detail-oriented mindset.
