Scope of Works
  • Examination of technical feasibility and defining preferred options, identifying risks with all options and outlining next steps.
  • Assess land requirements for permanent and temporary works
  • Engage with third parties to ensure agreements in place for cable route and substation (i.e. road and utility owners)
  • Work alongside land agents to discuss project design requirements with landowners and attending any public events to discuss the project and understand any significant issues that this could cause
  • Work alongside HDD/Direct Pipe Specialists for landfall and cable route
Deliverables
  • Identification of landowners, occupiers and other parties that hold an interest in land, through interpretation and research of Registers of Scotland titles, Sasines, and Crofting Registers.
  • Report examining technical feasibility and defining preferred options, identifying risks with all options and outlining next steps.
  • Secure land Agreements necessary to support the development of the infrastructure relating to the project
Requirements
  • Demonstrable Commercial negotiation experience.
  • An understanding or Crofting Rights and Land Court procedures.
  • Strong negotiation skills which deliver deals effectively and without setting any adverse precedents
  • Able to comprehend technical information and translate this into requirements for land agreements
  • Knowledge of Scottish land agreements
Certifications
  • Relevant university degree in Planning, Environment or Engineering discipline
