LSP have partnered with a leading developer and operator in Europe to recruit a Senior Project Development Manager to lead the development of large scale Onshore Wind and Solar PV assets in Italy.

Our client has more than 1700 MW of operating assets under management in several countries across Europe and has been increasing its presence throughout the European market, including Italy. With a large pipeline of projects under development and entering construction in Italy, our client has experienced rapid growth and intends to have a stronger presence in the Italian market.
This job offers you the possibility of leading a growing team, while working in a fast-paced environment backed by a large international group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identifying, assessing and facilitating new project development opportunities for wind, solar, BESS and P2X;
  • Performing feasibility and risk assessment studies on projects;
  • Managing the budget and resources allocated to the assigned projects, with a proactive approach particularly towards schedule and risk;
  • Taking ownership of assigned projects throughout the permitting stage, ensuring that the pillars of “land, grid and permit” are managed efficiently and effectively within the constraints of scope, budget and schedule;
  • Sourcing and proposing project acquisition opportunities, incl. participation in potential M&A transactions;
  • Coordinating external project developers or professionals, assuring compliance with the signed agreements and deliverables;
  • Handing over and supporting the assigned projects’ construction phase;
Requirements
  • Several years of experience working with the development of renewable energy projects (wind/solar)
  • Verifiable experience in greenfield project development in Italy, spanning from land scouting to RTB phase, incl. knowing and complying with national, regional and local regulation, managing the grid connection request/acceptance process, negotiating/managing land contracts etc.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience
  • Has an ability to work in several projects in different regions at the same time
  • Is prepared to travel often, mainly in Italy
  • Fluent in Italian and English
