LSP Renewables have partnered with a leading IPP to recruit a Commercial Analyst in Berlin, Germany or Warsaw, Poland to optimise our clients revenues by conducting market analysis, assessing risks, building market intelligence, and development strategies to manage the portfolio and exposures effectively. 

Our client are one of the fastest growing IPPs in the European renewables space, and are one of the largest IPP and trader of clean energy in Poland and Hungary. They have ambitious plans to grow the portfolio by 1GW year on year, and also enter the Onshore Wind and BESS markets. The ideal candidate will have a commercial background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide actionable insights. You will be working closely together with experienced colleagues from Portfolio Management and Origination as well external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new business cases such as implementing new technologies, entering new markets, offering new products, etc.
• Build and maintain a market intelligence framework to support decision making.
• Work closely with Portfolio Management and Origination to identify, analyze and implement opportunities to optimize risk weighted revenues.
• Track market developments and regulatory changes and report on potential impact on the business.

Requirements

• Bsc. in Economics, Finance, Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience from the energy industry in an analyst and/or business development role.
• Preferably exposure to the East EU markets.
• Commercial and analytical mind set.
• Ability to think independently and critically.
• Take initiative in identifying opportunities and ownership to get things done.
• Experience in programming models (in any language) is an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
