Our client is looking for Permit Manager to prepare the onshore development licensing and permit processes based on specialized knowledge of the Industrial Complex Site Act, the Law on Land Planning and Utilization, the Port Act, and the Electric Business Act. Through this, our client seeks to promote time and cost savings for the project, ensure strict compliance with legal requirements, and create a safe and efficient working environment.
 
Job Overview

  • Position: Permit Manager
  • Reporting to: Business Development Director
  • Location: Ulsan
  • Working Hours: 5 days a week, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for execution of permitting strategy to ensure timely approval of essential elements for construction and operation of the companys project complied with the related regulations.
  • Thoroughly understand the requirements of the Industrial Complex Site Act, the Law on Land Planning and Utilization, the Port Act, and the Electric Business Act, and manage the project to ensure compliance with these regulations through coordination with relevant agencies.
  • Manage and engage with stakeholders on all levels including governments, authorities, and residents in close collaboration with the DC3 permit managers.
  • Continuously monitor legal changes and implement necessary actions.
  • Provide the project team with updates on permit status and ensure awareness of the latest regulations.
  • Prepare and submit onshore licensing/permit applications.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documents before submission to relevant authorities.
  • Manage engineering companies and consultancies for permit requirements as agreed with Business Development Director.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the development, EIA and offshore interface teams on offshore permitting and environmental matters.
  • Continuously monitor the progress of permit procedures and take prompt action when necessary.
  • Maintain continuous cooperation and communication with relevant agencies and authorities.
  • Respond promptly to any issues that may arise during the licensing/permit process.
  • Systematically manage and control all permit-related documents.
  • Maintain all records and histories of the licensing/permit process for future reference and review.
  • Liaise with the engineering and design project team.
  • Provide support to engage with external stakeholders, such as authorities at all levels,universities and national institute researchers related to Project Development.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to change licensing/permit conditions.

 
 
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil-engineering, Electrical-engineering, etc.).
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with permitting processes.
  • Deep understanding and experience with the Industrial Complex Site Act, the Law on Land Planning and Utilization, the Port Act, and the Electric Business Act.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting licensing/permit documents.
  • Strong communication skills with relevant agencies and authorities.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to respond promptly.
  • Ability to manage documents and maintain records.
  • Experience in consenting works with a wide range of stakeholders in industrial complex sites would be beneficial.
  • Strong ethical awareness and commitment to compliance with regulations.
  • Essential skill in writing official documents.
  • Proficiency in English, Korean conversation.
  • Proactive and co-operative way of working and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in both office and engineering programs like Hangul(한글), MS Office, AUTO-CAD.
