Our client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the delivery of the onshore substation package for Offshore Wind projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from planning and execution to completion, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Lead the execution of the onshore substation package, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
    • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Technical Oversight
    • Provide technical leadership and support in the design, engineering, and construction of onshore substations.
    • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Review and approve technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
    • Address and resolve any project-related issues or conflicts.
  • Contract and Vendor Management
    • Manage contracts with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
    • Oversee procurement processes and manage relationships with key suppliers.
    • Handle contract negotiations, variations, and change orders.
  • Quality and Safety Assurance
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of project delivery.
    • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and issue logs.
    • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle

 
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing onshore substation projects, preferably within the renewable energy or power generation sectors.
  • Strong understanding of substation design, construction, and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in Taiwan
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin
