Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled MEP Manager to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing aspects of the onshore substation package for an Offshore Wind project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all MEP-related activities, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination
    • Develop detailed plans for MEP systems within the onshore substation package.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Technical Oversight
    • Provide technical expertise on the design, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems.
    • Review and approve MEP designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
  • Construction Management
    • Oversee the installation of MEP systems, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
    • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient execution of MEP work.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety
    • Implement and enforce quality assurance and control procedures for MEP activities.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
    • Conduct safety meetings, training, and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Address and resolve any MEP-related issues or conflicts that arise.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and assess risks associated with MEP systems and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and manage MEP-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure all risks are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and present regular reports on MEP progress, status, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all MEP activities, including designs, inspection records, and test results.
    • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping throughout the MEP phase.

 
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in MEP management, specifically in delivering onshore substation projects within the renewable energy or power generation sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, design, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MEP and project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin
