Civil Construction & Commissioning Engineer
Our client is looking for an experienced ‘Civil Construction & Commissioning Engineer’ to be based at their onshore site office, assisting the Onshore Campaign Manager in supervising and coordinating all civil activities on construction sites. As a Civil Construction & Commissioning Engineer will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. You will not only be coordinating with vendors and contractors, but also overseeing the entire construction project from start tofinish. Your goal will be to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved.
Key Tasks
Oversee and provide contractor(s) with input and clarifications for construction crew, ensuring that all workers follow safety protocols and project plans
Assist with project schedules, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely completion of each phase of the construction process
Work with architects, engineers, and other professionals overseeing project plans, ensuring that all necessary permits and zoning requirements are met
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to secure necessary materials, equipment, and services
Review and approve project tenders, making recommendations for cost-saving measures and improvements to project efficiency
Participate in quality inspections (WD) for civil scope
Conduct site inspections, ensuring that all construction processes for civil work are compliant with building regulations, codes, and standards
Develop and maintain project documentation, including detailed project reports, schedules, and construction plans
Assist Onshore Campaign Manager on following construction work at site
Report on HSE, progress and quality
Requirements We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented construction and commissioning civil engineer who can assist in and oversee our construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that each project is completed safely, on budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved.
A degree in construction management, Civil engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role on site of HV construction projects (powerlines, substations, powerplants, etc.)
Deep Knowledge of Polish construction law, safety protocols, building codes, and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Driving license and a site appropriate car
