CLEARSTONE ENERGY GAINS APPROVAL FOR 700MW UK BATTERY STORAGE PROJECT!

Clearstone Energy have been granted approval for two major battery storage developments in Suffolk, and Sussex, totalling 700MW of capacity.

The ‘Bramford Storage’ facility in Suffolk, and the ‘Great Oak Energy Hub’ in Sussex have both secured permission from their respective councils, following the successful community engagement and no unresolved objections from statutory bodies or emergency services.

Head of Development at Clear Stone Energy, Rob Garratt said “We are thrilled to receive planning consent for these projects and want to thank both councils for their engagement and recognising the efforts of our development team to bring forward two high-quality proposals.
These projects are ready to build and conversations with National Grid about grid connections are already well progressed.
We look forward to working with National Grid and the National Energy System Operator to find ways of bringing forward connection dates in support of Clean Power 2030.”

With both projects set to begin construction soon, this marks a significant milestone for Clearstone, bringing its ready-to-build UK storage portfolio to 1.1GW. With further expansion underway in Italy and strong collaboration with National Grid, Clearstone is positioning itself at the forefront of Europe’s growing battery storage sector.
