Technical Asset Manager Bristol, South West, EnglandOur client develops and invests in a wide range of utility scale energy assets focussed on solar PV, onshore wind and storage solutions. The role is focussed within the broader Asset Management team, which is responsible for operating and managing their clean energy portfolio of projects within Europe. They are looking for a highly motivated asset manager to manage solar and storage assets and their associated SPVs, by ensuring best practice for safety, quality and environmental performance, enhancing the overall returns and value of each project and ensuring compliance with all applicable contractual agreements and regulations. The Asset Manager will be the main contact for all asset management activities carried out on the project and be fully responsible for the day-to-day management of each asset; this will involve working with a wide range of diverse cultures and business environments to provide a solid asset management function across the Renewables portfolio. The role is full time and based in Bristol, UK but will require regular national and international travel for the management of assets and contractors in Europe. Key Responsibilities:Management of the contracts of the SPVs and parent companies.Ensure that all assets are in compliance with the requirements of: Statutory requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental performance, Planning authority requirements, Grid connection conditions All applicable technical rules and regulations in place, other agreementsOptimise project performance:Monitor contractor performance with a view to ensuring all contracted SLAs are met or exceeded,Review and enhance maintenance strategies and activities with a view to reducing down time and maximizing revenue,Review reporting provided by the contractors and ensure any issues are being suitably addressed,Build strong relationships with contractors,Direct supervision of sub-contractors or overseeing the work of management contractors where required,Identify and establish the necessary KPIs to monitor the performance of each asset.Identify equipment faults, carry out diagnoses and troubleshooting activities with support from the monitoring team.Use, maintain and develop management tools.Be the primary contact person for the managed agreements.Visit company sites to assess status and conditions of the renewable generator.Support in reporting to: Public authorities, Lenders, ESG & External investorsManage insurance claims.Manage warranty claims.Liaise day to day with the performance monitoring, development, technical, legal and investment teams.Attend asset management team meetings, company meetings, handover meetings and appraisals as required.Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements at work, including being aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training.Any other reasonable task as requested by the management of the business.Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, the company data policies, privacy notices and the statutory guidelines. Skills, Experience & Qualifications:Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline.Minimum of 3 years of experience in renewables asset management, with solar PV experience of particular relevance to the role. BESS and Wind experience would be an advantage but not essentialProven ability to manage high volumes of complex data and distil into high quality management reporting.Contract administration.Proven experience managing contractors with the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalismBudget management.Proficient with Windows, MS Office and remote monitoring systems.Experience of working in a multinational environment.Proven ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders in multiple countries and at all levels.Experience with remote monitoring systems on renewable generators and/or BESSInterpretation of mechanical and electrical drawings, work instructions and design reviewsDemonstrate effective team-work and close collaboration across functions and geographical locations.Excellent time keeping, punctuality and consistent attendance at work as well as meeting deadlines, persevering with challenging tasks, demonstrating attention to detail and consistently delivering work to the highest standard.Act ethically and with integrity in all working practices and behave with honesty and decency at all times.
