Principal Assurance Engineer - Cables Warwick & Travel - United KingdomAs a Principal Assurance Engineer - Cables, you'll have a critical role ensuring that our operational interconnectors maintain the highest level of operational performance as well as ensuring that all our new interconnectors are developed, designed, constructed and commissioned in accordance with our standards and specifications.
In this role you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. You'll be flexible to travelling to our Warwick office and UK Interconnector sites, with occasional European travel as required. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
Key accountabilities
Responsible for the design assurance of HVDC interconnector cable systems during project feasibility, optioneering, development, design, tender, delivery, and commissioning phases of a new HVDC interconnector.
Support the development of new interconnector projects with AC and DC cable system design expertise.
Ensure that the highest level of standards are maintained in respect of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Act as the technical / engineering design interface with cable suppliers and installation contractors during the delivery phase of a project to ensure design, manufacture, testing and construction activities are in accordance with the technical specifications and Contract.
Ensure that safety by design principles are embedded in Suppliers’ and Contractors’ design solutions, and that the cable system is safe to operate and maintain.

Significant experience and knowledge of HV cable systems including both onshore & offshore cables and associated infrastructure.
Project delivery experience on a full range of complex, multi-interface projects.
Excellent stakeholder management, influence and engagement skills.
The ability to assist with the commissioning of HV cable assets to recognised standards and procedures.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £58,000 to £74,000 – dependent on capability.
Established market supplement of £4,500 per annum (paid monthly).
