Our client are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial / Power Sales to lead the commercialisation of their renewable energy projects in Japan. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing power offtake agreements, developing market strategies, and driving revenue growth. This position will report to the Country Head, Japan, and will be instrumental in expanding our clients footprint in the Japanese renewable energy market. Responsibilities Lead the commercialization of our clients pipeline of renewable energy projects in Japan, ensuring optimal revenue generation. Build and manage relationships with corporate offtakers, power traders, utilities, and other key stakeholders in Japan. Develop and implement strategies for power sales, including corporate PPAs, feed-in-premium (FIP) mechanisms, LTDA and tolling for BESS and merchant market opportunities. Set up the organizational capabilities for power forecasting, scheduling, and trading in collaboration with external partners. Stay informed on Japan’s evolving regulatory landscape and corporate renewable energy trends to identify investment and business opportunities. Lead the bidding process for projects, ensuring alignment with internal approvals, client requirements, and contract negotiations. Support the structuring and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), working closely with legal, finance, and project development teams. Provide strategic insights to the development team regarding market demand, pricing trends, and energy policy changes. Contribute to corporate strategy planning and forecast activities at both the country and regional levels. Act as the key liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and long-term partnerships. Skills Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in power sales, energy trading, corporate PPA structuring, or commercial development within Japan’s energy sector. Deep understanding of Japan’s power market structure, including FIP, non-fossil certificates, balancing markets, and corporate renewable energy procurement trends. Proven track record in structuring, negotiating, and closing power purchase agreements and large-scale energy transactions. Strong analytical skills with expertise in market analysis, pricing strategies, and regulatory impact assessments. Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, including corporate buyers, utilities, and government entities. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams. Our client are looking for an experience Structural Manager to join their team in Korea. The successful candidate will be responsible for all OSS structural and mechanical design for the project. Responsibilities Responsible for scope, time, cost, quality, risks, communication and safety for the EPCI contract: Overall layout of the offshore substation topside and substructure. Structure within topside and substructure Mechanical equipment on substation incl. topside crane, hoist systems, fuel storage systems, drainage and piping systems etc. Evacuation and safety philosophy for the topside Fire extinguishing system and passive fire protection HVAC components and philosophy Secure day-to-day management of the EPCI contract for the scope of work Ensure alignment of scope with internal stakeholders, Engineering Contractor and Fabrication Contractor within the EPCI contract Follow-up on design changes during fabrication and installation. This position is responsible for managing the high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), low-voltage (LV), and SCADA scopes within the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contract. The role requires close coordination with structural engineering, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems within the offshore wind farm. Key Responsibilities: Scope Definition & Management: Define and manage the electrical scope of work (HV/MV, LV, and SCADA) within the EPCI contract, ensuring alignment with overall project requirements and integration with structural engineering. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor supplier performance, ensure the quality of electrical deliverables, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
