Client Representative - Cable Lay

The Client Representative Offshore shall ensure that specific tasks are completed safely, on time, and with due-consideration and attention to the project requirements (RAMS) for the assigned scope of work. Review and understand the Project’s HSE Plan including the Emergency Response Plan and ensure Contractor adheres to the HSE requirements; Review health and safety documents as required before execution phase commences and keep updated on changes in the documents; Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPR) which will include progress of the works, mechanical breakdown, weather downtime etc. and ensure the DPRs are signed by all required parties (as appropriate); Perform an onsite review of the as-built documentation with a focus on cable laying operations Ensure Contractor compliance with technical/operational requirements and that works are executed in a safe manner and to the required quality; Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and other discussions as well as package/project meetings. Aligning and escalating topics (as necessary) to the Offshore Site Management. Participate in pre- and post-project meetings to review performance, lessons learned, and future improvements. Monitor Safety Observations Cards (SOCs) during daily meetings and ensure they are recorded within the DPR. Highlight any of particular note or concern toward Offshore Site Management and HSE team. During all defined key activities and otherwise as often as practicable be present as a witness during installation. Cable loadout operation (on and offloading from CLV) incl. review of post load out test results. The role of Project Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of our clients ‘Renewables Termination and Testing Service’ projects. The position is responsible for the planning and execution of these projects including delivery of project documentation for customer review within the agreed timeframe.  In addition, the post is responsible for ensuring that project revenue and invoicing requirements are achieved, the project is delivered on time and within the expected budgetary costs, and the respective margins are maintained or improved upon. Main Responsibilities: Acquire in depth knowledge of project contract scope and delivery requirements to ensure the project revenue and invoicing requirements are achieved on time, within budgetary cost and in accordance with the customer and contract requirements. Organise, plan and manage projects including management of project costs and preparation of internal and external reports, liaising with all appropriate departments to facilitate this. Take full leadership of all project contractual and commercial matters, liaising with Legal and Contracts department as required. Identifying, assessing and managing commercial and contractual risks, managing the projects to protect the company’s financial and technical exposure and management of the project Risk Register. Manage and delegate work to the relevant functions allocated to the project to ensure the work scope is completed in accordance with all relevant quality standards, contractual requirements, and project schedule. Experience The successful candidate will have experience with offshore Termination & Testing activities and be capable of handling all technical, commercial and contractual aspects of individual projects, as well as dealing with customers.
