LSP Renewables have partnered with the largest renewable energy generator in Europe to recruit a Team Lead - Contract Operations, to be a key resource in managing daily business operations from end-to-end contract management, balance and contract settlement, invoicing and payments. 

Our client operate in more than 20 countries, covering Solar PV, Hydro, Onshore Wind, and Offshore Wind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team management  (without HR responsibility)
  • Key resource in daily business operations (end to end contract management, for example balance settlement, contract settlement, invoicing and payments, calculating and posting accruals, handling of complex customer requests etc.)
  • Key resource in regulatory and collateral management processes
  • Establish reliable interfaces by working in close cooperation with internal and external customers
  • Communicate complex operational topics to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Participate in multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Drive knowledge transfer within the team, ensuring junior team members are well-informed and trained.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, either leading optimization and automation efforts or coordinating with IT departments.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for business processes, ensuring transparency and continuity.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in a similar operations-focused position or unit.
  • Proven experience in the UK energy sector, with a strong understanding of flexibility markets, balancing services, PPAs or/and Retail market.
  • Solid knowledge of contract management, market communication, settlement and invoicing processes within energy portfolios.
  • Experience with SQL (ability to create reports, extract, and analyse data); knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with energy management data systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English (mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and collaboration.
