Our client is looking for a Wind Turbine Technician to join their team, every day is different and provides a real opportunity to make a difference in our client’s ambition to help the UK achieve Net Zero
 
Key Responsibilities  

• Schedule and reactive maintenance accordance with manufacturer’s guideline
• Report and plan daily maintenance activity
• Coordinate local spare part and consumable stock
• Fault-finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on all turbine systems, which will include mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies and major components
• Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime
• Supervise specialist and subcontractor activity during main component exchange
• Provide safety induction to contractors and visitors
• Provide out of hours and weekend response to turbine breakdown
• Ensure the highest level of turbine availability

 
Requirements

• A time served Engineer (electrical/mechanical) with a primary focus on ensuring operations and maintenance activities are undertaken to the highest levels.
• Ideally hold a AT/AE qualification under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR)
• Have significant technical expertise gained through a blend of academic (Electrical or Mechanical HNC/HND/NVQ) and “hands on” operational environments.
