Cable Operations Lead
As the Operations Lead – CLV works, you will be part of the Cables team of the Project and provide essential support to the Cable T&I package across all disciplines with special focus on the daily operations of the Cable Installation and Transport Vessel(s). In the role of Operations Lead – CLV works, you will report directly to the Cables T&I Package Manager for general day-to-day reporting, communications and operational activities. You will be responsible for the coordination of all activities and documentation related to the Cable Installation and Transport Vessel(s). Furthermore, you will actively maintain and interact within the Cables team and with the related packages in the coordination of the relevant interfaces.The Operations Lead – CLV works shall particularly take ownership of following up the preparations of the actual execution works as taken up by the cable T&I contractor(s) and subcontractor(s) and reviewing the plans of the contractors prepared for this. In this capacity, the Operations Lead – CLV works shall take on a broad package of tasks, including but not limited to the following: Key ResponsibilitiesAct as main point of contact for all matters related to the Cable Installation and Transport Vessel(s),Follow the day to day operations during the execution of the works and support as required with technical issues, including overseeing the; Vessel planning, Vessel manning, Vessel equipment, Offshore works, Cable loading, Cable storage, Cable transport, Port calls, Relevant documentation, Relevant permits (with authorities and within the project), Client reps,Support and/or lead technical discussions and interfaces with local Contractor(s), Subcontractor(s) or Stakeholder(s) relevant to the Cable transport and installation scope,Dealing with cable package external interface with other asset owners which could cross or be in proximity with the project’s cables,Support in following-up and challenging the T&I contractor on providing the solution to all technical aspects of the cable T&I, especially focused on the planning of the offshore operations for Cable transport and installation,Review and provide recommendations regarding Contractor proposals and plans, including but not limited to logistics (transport and storage) plan, loading plan, installation work method statements, installation analysis, installation storyboards and drawings, lift plans/ drawings, installation sequences, weather limitations, weather downtime estimations, etc., and confirm compliance with the contract, available codes and standards,Follow up on compliance of T&I Contractor with the Quality and HSE requirements for the Transport and Installation processes as per the Employer's Requirements and Contracts,Support in the review of contractor reports, to ensure compliance with the relevant schedules and contracts, this will include understanding the contract as well as technical schedules,Report of technical issues to the project management, particularly risks and develop mitigation measures as part of the overall risk management process,While being focused on the final result it is needed from time to time to be able making informed decisions independentlyRequirements Full-time position with standard business hours. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required,Work is performed in an office setting with irregular visits to the vessel(s) during port calls,Frequent travel to rock storage areas and operational sites is required,Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.Proficiency in English and Chinese language.
